TİSAŞ Strengthens Its Position in Domestic and International Markets with Next-Generation Weapons
Trabzon Silah Sanayi A.Ş. (TİSAŞ) showcased its products at the İGEF Fair, held in Ankara from September 18–20, 2025. Speaking to DefenseHere.com, R&D Director Ahmet Furkan Erdem provided information about the company’s newly developed machine guns, small arms, and stabilization systems.
Erdem stated that one of the products that attracted particular attention at the exhibition was the “CKR-503,” a three-barrel Gatling-style machine gun. He noted that prototype production had been completed and testing was ongoing, adding that the company plans to begin mass production after the second quarter of 2026. He explained that the weapon is capable of firing 1,100–1,300 rounds per minute, has an effective range of approximately 2 kilometers, and can be integrated into ground vehicles, fixed platforms, naval vessels, and aircraft.
Referring to the Kara Han vehicle displayed at the exhibition, Erdem said that the vehicle had been developed as part of a joint project with Han Teknoloji. He explained that the vehicle was initially designed to demonstrate weapon integration, but that the positive response it received had led to discussions about putting it into mass production.
PKM MT762 and New Small Arms
TİSAŞ’s new projects also include a PKM machine gun. Erdem stated that the prototype had been completed and that the product was developed in line with the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces, adding that mass production is planned to begin in 2026. He also noted that the company continues production with new versions of the small arms it has been manufacturing for many years.
